City Rivers and Channels Keep Being Dredged Optimally

Jakarta Water Resources Sub-agency Head, Juani Yusuf said that dredging is very important to prevent heavy flooding in the capital. Therefore, his party continues to optimize it in the rivers and water channels that have piles of garbage and mud.

"We have sent thousands of blue personnel and heavy equipments to the location. Especially now it's still the dry season so we can optimize dredging," he expressed, Monday (8/5).

Thus far it has been carried out in Cengkareng Timur Dam, Jalan Kamal Raya, Cengkareng Timur Urban Village, Cengkareng Sub-district, West Jakarta. 

He added that routine checks are also carried out on stationary and mobile pumps as they are very important system to control water Jakarta.

West Jakarta Water Resources Sub-agency Head, Purwanti expressed that Cengkareng Timur Dam tipped to the Maja River is dredged up to 8 kilometers. Four equipments have been sent to finish it on the target prior to rainy season.

"We do this from the border of Tangerang to Jalan Kapuk Cengkareng," he stated.
